Mother's Day blessings

Sunday school was fun. I only had Chloe, Amelia and Emily and we had the story of Jesus going back to heaven. They each got a chance to make Jesus go up into the sky and the angels appearing to tell the Disciples to do what Jesus told them to do and that He would come back again! 

Church was good, the guys did a nice job with the music, it was nice to hear their voices lifted in praises almost to the point where I didn't want to sing but just to listen to them. 

The kids came over in the afternoon for a whatever dinner and we had fun playing in my back yard and just catching up with each other. Liz and Ben were sorely missed but they had to work. The kids were dirty and sweaty and had chocolate ice cream cone faces but they had a great time, even if the ball kept going over the fence :) they played, swang, and sang old mcdonalds farm. It was a good time!

Sheila, Jillian and Isaac gave me a load of coupons I can't wait to cash in! JoAnna and Hannah made me a shrinky dink neclace with the names of my children, grandchildren and great grand children on it's so cool! Robbyn gave me a beautiful petunia basket with pink and purple petunias I was thinking of getting one like this for the hummingbirds but she must have read my mind! Nicole gave me a new black angel fish! He is really cool and today is out swimming with the other angels :)

Sheila had to go to Tama to pick up Ash and asked me to go along. That was great to have the time to catch up with her and then to hear Ash talk on the way home. She made that great video for Sheila for Mother's Day and had us all in tears as we watcher her on you tube telling her Mom that Ash looks up to her as her hero. It's pretty amazing!

Friday and Saturday recap

watched Colton Friday morning

walked for an hour and a half and Colt talked the whole time

Pei's Lemon chicken had been calling my name. Biz and Len took me there for lunch for Mother's day! 

came home and watched 13 going on 30 and played a little bit of Professor Layton and took a little nap.

Tricia and I went to see The Lorax (good movie!) 

came home and watched the new (er) Freaky Friday then went to bed

woke up at 6:10 to the bathroom light and fan being on  couldn't go back to sleep even though I tried for an hour

got up to a very quiet house and the sounds of the birds singing and chattering away at the feeders while I had my Sunday School lesson prep time - that was nice

went to Hannah's track meet

drove out to church to help at the work day- enjoyed the quiet there since most everyone was outside working. I cleaned the pop corn machine and tidied up the kitchen, then went upstairs anc cleaned out behind the welcome desk (sheesh what a lot of junk!)

ate pizza with Phil, Jenn, Jim, Cal, Craig, Joey, Emma and Mary then finished up what I was doing loaded the recycle stuff into my truck and came home.

now I am home and thinking it's time for bed!

I don't know why I titled this blog that, it was the only thing that came to mind. I am exhausted but it's been a good and productive day.

Colt and I took Andy to Best Buy so he could buy his new IPod that he has been saving up for. He was so excited and chattery it was great. We got there about 9:30 and a they don't open till 10 so we ran thru Burger King (the ddddddoooouuubbbbbbllllll chhhheeeeessseeee buuuurrrrggggerrrrrr one) <----- funny Doug story, so Andy could get something to eat and he and Colton shared his smoothie. Then we ran to the bank an errand I needed to do and by the time that was over Best Buy was open.

We came back home and waited for Asa, I told Colton that we would go play outside before lunch when Asa came. It's so fun to be out in the yard! But my o my the work that needs to be done. I did get some of the back raked up, did a bit of weeding, cut out some trees from the flower beds and dreamed and dreamed. Doug always said it doesn't cost anything to dream ;)

We came in for lunch and of course since I didn't have any bread the boys wanted sandwiches! sheesh good thing there is a Kum and Go next door. I hated to spend $3.00 for a loaf of bread but oh well, it's only money!  

When the boys went down for naps I went outback and worked more in the yard and just enjoyed the privacy! It's just wonderful to be out there and not feel like everyone in the whole world is watching what we are doing. It was fun cleaning out places that have been so neglected and I keep having planting thoughts running through my brain! 

After Matt picked up the boys I went out and mowed the lawn, and cleaned out around my Adams needles got everything put away and cleaned up and finally came in and took a shower. Andy was gone with Jack so I had the house to myself. I got dressed and walked over to Hardees and got a roast beef sandwich and a strawberry malt for dinner. I worked hard today and decided to treat myself.

I sat down to eat and turned the tv on and watched the last of Raising Helen  and when it was over Stepmom came on. What was I thinking?!?!?! All day I have felt like a cloud has been hovering waiting to engulf me why did I need to encourage it with the emotions from those movies?

I am exhausted and sore from the yard work but excited with the possibilities of what's ahead

Dad is having cataract surgery today - waiting to hear he is out and they are eating somewhere! 

The guys who laid the sod down in back are here today digging around the drain pipe the water that is supposed to be gone in 24 hours has been standing down there since last Friday

I am so blessed and pleased with my new fence! Talk about ' exceeding, abundantly above all we can ask or think' !! God is FANTASTIC I have my back yard again and it's better than before!

Sunday night May 6 - good weekend

Hannah and JoAnna were was fashion show at Goodwill on Saturday night. I am so glad I went! It was really neat to watch and see all of the people involved there! 

Here is Hannah on her first walk, I didn't get very good shots, she was pretty fast and i was very proud.
