I had a great time in Arizona! We got to swim a lot, lay by the pool, and eat, and eat and eat. We spent lots of time just being together, meeting more of the people that are part of my Folk's winter lives, watching tv and did I mention eating? It was a very relaxing week for me, just what I needed. I didn't take a lot of pictures, but here are some of the ones I did take/ this is a shot from the outside of my parents park their place is right in the middle of the picture - in front of Superstition mountain range of the Lost Dutchman mine story. Koko or Mama's little lion cub Mom and Dad sitting at the kitchen table we spent lots of time there :) laying by the pool - the smaller one, where the people are is a Jacuzzi, and the pools are heated this was the Golden Anniversary club breakfast. All of these people have been married for 50 years or more. At least one of the people in the couple has had to have been married for 50 years. The rules got changed, at first some of the couples would add up the years married now at least one of them had to be married for 50 years. The room was packed! Dad and Mom (got special permission for Tricia and I to be at the breakfast) they will be married 63 years April 23 (nice face Mom, at least I know where the family get's this!) See Dad with his back to us and Tricia across the table from him? The Golden Anniversary Club was started by the woman in the white jacket. Her and her husband were very witty :) The man lost his balance as he was going to sit down and fell knocking over a couple of chairs and displacing the tables. He said he falls well, he just doesn't land too good. My mom asked him what he was going to do for an encore - sing? His wife said it would be better if he fell again! She had beautiful hair! Dad again and Tricia and me taking a picture of me taking a picture of . . . I love this one of Dad Downtown Phoenix - we went to see the USS Arizona Memorial I was driving and trying to take pictures, at least I wasn't texting! These are some statues of Indians harvesting the Saguaro cactus at a casino in Maricopa the GPS was trying to take us to California to see the USS Arizona memorial, we weren't sure if it would take us to Hawaii, so we turned around and went back but saw this on the way back. a while back I put a photo on Facebook of a wood burning done by the late husband of one of the ladies, Louise, that my mom visits. This is the wood burning - it's huge and hangs in the room the church meets in on Wed nights for fellowship dinners put on by the 'feed team' for free will offering then Pastor Jack brings a message. The art work is very large and is at the back of the stage. one of the meals we shared, minced ham sandwiches, cheese cottage cheese, radishes, stuffed dates and always candy for desert and popcorn Dad in the hot tub, Tricia , my brother/Uncle D to the left and Mom next to him - the building outside the fence is where the laundromat is. my lovely sister, Tricia Don aka Uncle D - he was with the folks when we got down there and he flew out on Monday My Mom ;) Dad, when I first saw him I asked him if he was a prospector ha! He told me he doesn't like to shave so he grew out his beard not so sure why I zoomed in so close but I like this one just aim the camera at my Dad and wait and he will always smile :) coolin' off from the hot tub sitting by the hot tub Driving through the park I saw this dog by one of the units. I drove back by it to get a picture but there were several people sitting outside and I couldn't just take a picture, so I drove down the street a bit and got the picture in the mirror of the car.I am pretty sure it's a real dog- stuffed WEIRD!!!!!! This was one of my favorite vacations! nice and relaxing just what this gal needed. |
